Thinking about getting a new account

This one's not going anywhere cause i also dont want to delete it but i kind of want to move...

  1. bad memories are associated with it, and i cant really suppress them too (Dont ask about them or the evil monster i hired will get you)
  2. someone on roblox who i know is 12 found it and i dont want to risk them seeing anything 13+ or higher. If you are the mentioned 12 year old snooping onto my account and you are reading this, youre in trouble young man.
  3. I dont like this username even if i could change it
  4. i dont like being associated with the old art i have (this includes eternalgia- its dead for reasons i will wait later to discuss.)
  5. I have another identity now, one that isn't "Extr-A" anymore, i have changed but this account's identity? And how I feel about it? It remains the same. 13 year old me. Just makes me uncomfortable
  6. I just want to start fresh lmao


I have no idea if i should make a new account but those are some of the reasons. I might have more reasons than this

2. you're not to blame, ng has a content rating where u can put stuff from E, T, M or A
3. and 5. You can ask Tom Fulp to change your name (ONLY ONCE)
4. You can delete that art
6. You can start fresh again by unfollowing everyone, delete all your art and that's it (Or Archive it)

As uncomfortable as this may sound: The bad memories are associated with Newgrounds. You will not feel "free" just because "nobody" knows who you are.

2.
Just to point out something: "seeing anything 13+ or higher" _on_the_internet_ is pretty much a given, unless actual parental supervision is happening. Even if your account was gone, the rest of NG would still be there.
If that 12 year old is responsible, they will filter out anything that isn't "E", but in the end, that is their parents' responsibility.

3. & 5.
Just a suggestion (and at the risk of sounding like an Ad-Bot): You 'could' support NG for a single month (for $3/$5), change you account's name, and permanently unlock some features even after that month has ended (like the chat). That way you could keep all of your submissions in one place (iif you ever wanted to re-publish them); as well as your inbox, hard earned voting power, and your 'account age-bragging rights'... ;)

You can unpublish (and re-publish) your art voluntarily. (There should be a button in the project management.)

I do not mean this as criticism, but "nobody" would notice a difference. Outward-facing, you did practically nothing with your account, aside from publishing art.

In the end, the choice is yours, but I wanted to offer an outside perspective.
